A great big thank you Mark and Nikki of Magnolia Productions for filming my “Story of a Lifetime” which looks fabulous and to you Mark for going the extra mile and sourcing the original newspaper article of my grandpa and nana on their Harley Davidson and of course the photos of the copper dome for the planetarium in Auckland that my dad made.
I am so glad I now have this story and I have had a lot of laughs and a few tears seeing the finished product. My family and generations to come now have an insight into some of my memories of what life was like.
This is something we all need to do, “THE RIGHT TIME IS NOW “and having a chat over a cup of tea while being filmed makes it all nice and relaxed.
You two are a very special couple and I have no hesitation in highly recommending Magnolia Productions to anyone. Keep up the good work.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a good video must be worth about a million. And Nikki and Mark sure know how to make a good video.
They took care of everything from start to finish and helped us to get a wonderful memory of our aging father. The prompting of ideas to get the best memories was particularly good.
I can highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to create an enduring memory of a loved one, (or two).
Hi Mark and Nikki from Magnolia Productions.
We would like to thank you both for the great service you provided for us on mums "story of a lifetime".
You made everything so easy for us and simple to follow but at the same time the attention to detail was amazing and very much appreciated. Mum and I were both nervous at the start of filming but in no time at all you had us both laughing and enjoying ourselves and we hardly noticed that you were even there!.
We would highly recommend using Magnolia Productions as it is a piece of our past that we can keep for our future and without their expertise this would not have been possible.
Kindest regards Coby and Joanne.
When we heard about Magnolia we were keen to get my 91 year old father in front of the camera in his house in Wellington. Mark agreed to come down to Wellington to film dad which we really appreciated.
On the day Mark turned up with his professional kit of cases with sound equipment, cameras and lights, and set up in dad`s kitchen for a morning’s filming. Dad was very nervous, but Mark put us all at ease with his caring personality and it wasn’t long before dad (and I) were having a great ole chat about our family’s past.
Our family was excited to see dad in front of the camera telling us his story and the outcome was a very professional video. With dad`s photographs cut into the video, some music and the outcome was DVDs and memory stick copies for the whole family.
We could not be more pleased and have enjoyed several sessions with the family watching. We now have a fantastic quality memory of dad while he`s still well. Our only regret is we didn't get our mum on camera before it was too late.
Memories are like forgotten treasure, hidden in a cupboard… you dust them off and Magnolia brings them to life. The preparation process brought out so many memories I thought I had forgotten.
Nikki and Mark have a way to draw out your memories. They make you feel at ease and were very empathetic. I am so pleased I had the opportunity to do this but at the same time, I wish my parents could have had the chance.
